The top reason I give any book 5 stars, is you have to make me feel something…deeply. Me Before You did just that, and I hate the book for making me feel this way and for making me think about things that I would rather just lock away and never look at. There isn’t much I can say without spoiling the whole book, except that I hope the book does toy what it did to me, see a situation from both sides. I haven’t grieved over characters in a book in a long time, not since The Fault in Our Stars. Jono Moyes brings very real, very beautiful characters… but also very flawed, which is beautiful in itself. I hate to be cliche about it, but this book changed my perspective on a few things and really makes me want to take advantage of the time I have on this Earth. As Will said, “Don’t settle.” I won’t.
